Although Ferryhill Town Council offices are closed due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, Members and staff are doing everything possible to continue to provide services for our communities.
With this in mind, the Town Council has awarded a grant of £3,431 to Citizens Advice County Durham to ensure they can continue to provide much needed advice and support to local residents.
Mayor of Ferryhill, Councillor Joe Makepeace said: “Ferryhill Town Council has always supported the work of Citizens Advice in Ferryhill, but feel that it is particularly important to do so under the current circumstances to ensure that local people are able to access the vital support they offer”.
Citizens Advice County Durham is offering a telephone service while restrictions are in place to limit the risk and spread of coronavirus.
Residents are asked to contact Barbara, Citizens Advice Worker, on 07736 910350 and leave a message. Barbara will then return your call on Friday between 10am and 1pm.
The outreach advice service will be reinstated at Ferryhill Town Hall every other Friday from 10am – 1pm when possible as current restrictions are lifted.
