Durham Constabulary is introducing its new PCSO, Grace Umpelby to the Spennymoor community.

Grace worked in Aldi before applying for the frontline position.

And after completing her socially-distanced training, Grace is now raring to go as a Police Community Support Officer with the Spennymoor beat team.

The 20-year-old said: “I wanted to join to help people and I realised this whilst I was on a sixth form trip to Peru where we built a kitchen for a school and worked with an orphanage.

“I’m really excited to get stuck in.”
