Volunteer, Carole Irving has been presented with a Certificate of Recognition by Spennymoor Mayor, Cllr Clive Maddison.
Carole was nominated for the award by Cllr Christine Sproat, in recognition of the many years of dedicated service Carole had given and continues to give to the village community centre.
The presentation was made at St John’s Church, Kirk Merrington during the monthly coffee morning, with family and friends in attendance.
In reply, Carole thanked the mayor and all those who supported community centre events, especially those who enjoyed the Monday 9.30am coffee mornings.
