Call for Shildonbury to be an annual event

Over 1,300 people attended the town’s third Shildonbury music festival on Saturday 13th August, and were delighted to find that both the music and the weather were on top form. Headlined by 80s legends T'Pau and Aswad, there were a total of nine bands on the bill. T'Pau’s Carol Decker rounded off the event with a great rendition of the classic number 1 hit, China in Your Hand, prompting a sea of swaying hands in the crowd. The event was an overwhelming success with those in attendance, with many taking to social media to express how impressed they were and to demand the festival be made a permanent annual fixture in Hackworth Park.
