Ferryhill 2000 Committee and Ferryhill Town Council are inviting residents of the town to attend the Annual Christmas Fayre on Friday 24th November.
The Fayre, which is organised by Ferryhill 2000 Committee in partnership with Ferryhill Town Council, will commence at 2pm with Children’s fair rides, refreshments and a craft fayre, which this year will once again take place indoors at St. Luke’s Parish Centre.
A candlelit procession involving children from the local Primary Schools will leave St. Luke’s Church at 4pm.
The procession, which will be led by Santa, will make its way to the Town Hall gardens where carol singing will take place at 4.15pm. The official switching on of the Town’s Christmas lights will then follow at 4.30pm. The honour of switching on the lights this year will fall to a pupil from Ferryhill Station Primary School.
Any adults and children wishing to take part in the procession are asked to meet at St. Luke’s Church at 3.45pm where glow sticks will be issued to all those participating in the parade.
Santa has promised to make an appearance again this year in his specially designed grotto which is located in the small building at the rear of the Town Hall.
He will be there from 4.30pm until 6pm to meet local children and give out presents.
For any queries about the Christmas Fayre, contact John Rogerson at Ferryhill Town Hall on 01740 652157.
