Celtic fall to leaders

Ferryhill Celtic were at home to league leaders, Pelton ROAB WMC on Sunday, 12th November, but the visitors proved too strong for their hosts.

Celtic started the game well, creating several chances, but their failure to convert would prove their undoing as Pelton broke the deadlock after 15 minutes with a chip over Kris Carr in the Celtic goal. The second half began in similar vein, but Pelton applied the pressure and scored another three goals. It was a salutory lesson in finishing for Celtic as the visitors scored with all four shots they had on target in the game.

Next up is the Ferryhill derby with Celtic visiting Dynamos on Sunday 19th, kicking off at 10:30am.

And the sides will soon be facing each other again after being drawn together in the First Round of the Heart Foundation Cup, due to take place on Sunday 17th December.
