Visitors heading to Bishop Auckland Food Festival this weekend are being reminded a park and ride service is in place.
Buses will be running from Bishop Auckland College main campus car park on Woodhouse Lane. They will run every 15 minutes on both days, with the first bus leaving at 9.45am.
The last bus will depart the festival site, from Kingsway at the rear of Wetherspoons, at 5.30pm.
Tickets are £2 return for adults, 50p for children (6-15 years) and free for children under six.
A number of road closures will be in place in and around the Market Place, where the festival takes place:
Friday, 20 April (from 5am) to Sunday, 22 April (until 9pm)
Castle Chare and the Market Place (including access to the market place parking bays) from the junction with North Bondgate and Durham Road (coloured red on the map).
Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 April 7am to 9pm
Fore Bondgate between its junction with Finkle Street to the junction with Newgate Street (coloured orange on the map).
There will also be two-way traffic lights in operation between Wear Chare and North Bondgate on both days to allow access to Wear Chare, Diall Stobb Hill and Binchester.
There will be no access to Durham Road from North Bondgate.
