On Saturday 29th June cadets and staff from 2505 (Bishop Auckland) Squadron Royal Air Force Air Cadets supported a community based Armed Forces Day Event held at Blackhall Farm, Harperley, near Crook.
Working in glorious sunshine, the charity event was focused on military nostalgia.
As well as viewing the sites museum, talking to veterans, sampling the 1940’s tearooms and attempting a mini assault course! The highlight for the cadets was viewing an original WW2 Jeep.

Cadet Lee Peacock (14) said, “As a cadet I have flown in RAF aircraft, hiked mountains and worked on my Duke of Edinburgh’s award, but seeing the jeep was really awesome”.
